Attending the last day of perusing Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum art exhibits and indoor garden courtyard within a Venetian palazzo… until the beloved museum re-opens in January 2012 with major renovations and expansions. I’ll miss the renaissance beauty of the collection and the chamber music on weekends and the eternal spring of the gardens among ancient roman mosaics and statues - in the deep winter months. But at least it will re-open in mid January, when the truly grey months begin and the snow never melts. And what a splendid sight it will bring.
