eurotrash magnet since 1993. i like to snap pictures.

I take all these photographs & write all the words accompanying the pictures. I also reblog inspiring quotes and pretty pictures from other tumblrs. I’ve been asked for a biography so the name is Rebecca, I’m a Bostonian (New England, USA) and I live outside the city by the sea. I love the anonymity and freedom of travel. I’m working on a couple of photo projects this summer. I’m a part of the 5% of tumblrs who is neither a teenager nor an undergrad. I have a BA in English. I shoot in digital and film. I spend a lot of time looking at art and reading books and rambling along country lanes, the beach, tree lined hills and the cobble stoned streets of Boston.

I like getting notes on here. Feel free to peruse the archives to get a better feel for me & my tumblr

I like to shoot architectural details, ancient ruins, the beautiful and the gritty places, cities & seascapes and the golden hour - with a 1960s feel to most images. I love abstractions, patterns, colors, black and white film, candid street shots, pretty much shooting everything that moves me. I love books and tea and champagne and british literary adaptations and all the usual things.  And to quote writers and romantic poets, especially Keats, and especially quotes on Rome, oh and myself.

The books of Anaïs Nin, Jean Rhys and Dorothy Parker are major influences on me.

I relate to anxiety cat way too much.

A lot of my photographs are taken all over Italy, especially Rome.

“Above all else — Rome” - Audrey Hepburn, “Roman Holiday”.

Other frequent locations: New Orleans, Louisiana; Boston, Massachusetts and all over New England, the eastern Seaboard, New York City, etcetera… Archived photographs I bring up from older shoots: London, Paris, Bruegges, the American Southwest, the French West Indies, the Yucatan Penninsula, the Caribbean, California, Seattle, Washington.

I’m flattered by reblogs, pin it’s, hearts, pinterest & weheartit posts of my photographs, just please link & credit me. Thank you!
